Our Mission
Making hospital bills fair for every Indian family.
Nobody should have to wonder if their hospital bill is honest. We built BillOkay because families deserve a clear answer, and the tools to act on it, without needing a medical billing degree or an expensive consultant.

The Problem
Hospital bills in India are opaque by design.
No standardised pricing. The same procedure can cost 3-10x more at one hospital than another, with no public justification.
Bills arrive in dense, jargon-filled formats when families are exhausted, grieving, or under time pressure to discharge.
Government benchmark rates exist. They are scattered across multiple databases that no ordinary patient can access or interpret.
Our Methodology
Line-by-line audit, backed by government data.
When you send us your hospital bill on WhatsApp, here is what happens behind the scenes:
- Read & ExtractEvery line item on your bill is identified: procedures, drugs, consumables, room charges, doctor fees.
- Match to BenchmarksEach item is compared against the closest government-published rate from CGHS, NPPA, PMJAY, GIPSA, or AIIMS databases.
- Flag OverchargesItems priced significantly above benchmarks are flagged with the exact government rate, the difference, and the regulation that applies.
- Generate Dispute LetterA ready-to-use letter citing relevant regulations, addressed to the hospital billing department, is prepared for you.
Our Data Sources
Built on official government rate databases.
We cross-reference your bill against five major rate databases maintained by the Government of India and public-sector institutions.
Central Government Health Scheme rates. Increasingly used as a reasonableness benchmark by courts.
National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority ceiling prices. Legal maximum retail prices for scheduled drugs.
Ayushman Bharat package rates for surgeries and treatments. The public insurance floor.
General Insurance Public Sector Association rates used by public-sector insurers for claim settlements.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences reference rates for treatment and investigative procedures.

Your health data is treated with the care it deserves.
Hospital bills contain sensitive health information. We designed BillOkay from the ground up to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
